Creating the My EE Dashboard for Pay as you go account holders

CLIENT: EE | WORK: RESPONSIVE WEB | DISCIPLINES: UI DESIGN

EE was formed in 2010 and the company’s main focus was their contract proposition. As EE established itself among its competitors, it felt the pressure of delivering an online account for their Pay as you go customers, as they had already done for Pay monthly clients.

I was hired by DARE digital agency to work on their EE client.

I worked directly with the client on site - Hatfield - together with a Senior UX designer (also from DARE) where we went through the technical limitations and challenges of EE’s Pay as you go accounts.

The biggest problem was the absence of an online account. But once it was created, the view balance and top up, the most used features. Top up was extremely complex as there were different ways to top up your account for Minutes, Text messages and Data.

To make an account easy to view and review by the user we created a dashboard where very clearly displayed their account details, balance, top up option and client’s mobile phone model, among other features and FAQs.

The project was successfully delivered as responsive web allowing all Pay as you go clients to view and manage their accounts online.
